🔥 Roxa Rated Wrestlers of the Week | January 17–23 🔥
Another huge week of youth wrestling action, thousands of kids took to the mats throughout the state of Nebraska. We have selected 7 that we felt showed out. Competing in deep, talent-loaded brackets, each of these wrestlers earned Roxa Rated Wrestler of the Week honors through statement performances on the mat.
🏆 Haevyn Alexander (Roxa Rated #2)
Auburn City Rec Wrestling Club • 8th grade • 126 lbs
Haevyn pinned her way to a championship at Syracuse, taking down elite competition including the #1-ranked 5th/6th grader at 113 lbs and the #5 and #18 wrestlers in her own division at the Lincoln Warriors Winter Classic.
🏆 Maverick Wynn (Roxa Rated #3)
Wahoo Wrestling Club • 2nd grade • 70 lbs
Maverick claimed the top spot at the Lincoln Warriors Winter Classic, outpacing the #9 and #18 ranked wrestlers at 75 lbs and knocking off the #2-ranked wrestler at 70 lbs in an impressive run.
🏆 Chase Williams (Roxa Rated #1)
GI Grapplers • 4th grade • 85 lbs
Chase dominated a tough bracket to win gold at the Lincoln Warriors Winter Classic, defeating the #2 wrestler at 85 lbs along with the #5 and #12 wrestlers at 90 lbs.
🏆 Kai Hughes (Roxa Rated #1)
Nebraska Boyz • 6th grade • 90 lbs
Kai stood atop the podium after conquering a stacked field that included the #2 and #4 wrestlers at 85 lbs and the #1-ranked wrestler at 80 lbs at the Lincoln Warriors Winter Classic.
🏆 Talin Novotny (Roxa Rated #14)
Hawks Wrestling Club (Lincoln) • 7th grade • 80 lbs
Coming in as the #14 Roxa Rated wrestler, Talin showed why he needs to move up in our rankings—winning a bracket that featured the #5, #12, and #17 ranked wrestlers at the Lincoln Warriors Winter Classic.
🏆 Beckett Johansen (Roxa Rated #18)
St. Paul Youth Wrestling • 7th grade • 102 lbs
Beckett entered the Warrior Wrestling Academy Tournament ranked #18 at 102 lbs and left with gold after defeating the #14 at 102 lbs, the #14 at 110 lbs, and the #17 at 100 lbs.
🏆 Ainsly Harder (Roxa Rated #4)
Fremont Wrestling Club • 5th grade • 95 lbs
Ainsly captured the championship at the Warrior Wrestling Academy Tournament, taking down the #1 Roxa Ranked wrestler at 107 lbs and the #9-ranked wrestler at 101 lbs along the way.
