Roxa Rated Wrestlers of the Week
January 24–30

The final full weekend of January delivered high-level performances across the state. While there were so many great performances throughout the weekend, the following stood out to us.  From undefeated weekends to statement wins over top-ranked opponents, these athletes earned Roxa Rated Wrestler of the Week honors by proving they belong among Nebraska’s best.

Sutton Matthiessen (Roxa Rated #3)
Hawks Wrestling Club | 7th Grade | 89 lbs
Sutton put together one of the most impressive weekends of the season. Competing across two tournaments, she went undefeated and took down four ranked wrestlers along the way.

Emmett Reeves (Previously Unranked)
Big Dogs Grappling Academy
Emmett announced himself in a big way. Entering the weekend outside the Roxa Ratings, he knocked off the #2 Roxa Rated wrestler at 50 lbs and the #2 ranked wrestler at 45 lbs in the 1st–2nd division at Milford. He followed that up by going undefeated in Beatrice, adding a win over the #12-ranked wrestler at 45 lbs.

Londyn Beavers (Roxa Rated #1)
Gretna Youth Wrestling | 6th Grade | 120 lbs
Already sitting at the top of the rankings, Londyn showed exactly why she’s there. At Milford, she defeated the #2 wrestler at 120 lbs and the #19 wrestler at 113 lbs. The next day, she continued her dominant stretch by taking down the #1 wrestler at 107 lbs and the #8 wrestler at 101 lbs.

Conner Wolff (Roxa Rated #11)
Battle Creek Elite | 6th Grade | 75 lbs
Moving up in weight didn’t slow Conner down. Entering as the #11 wrestler at 75 lbs, Wolff won the 5th–6th grade 80-lb bracket by defeating the #6, #7, and #17 ranked wrestlers at 80 lbs in Norfolk.

Kade Arganbright (Roxa Rated #3)
Valentine Wrestling Club | 4th Grade | 90 lbs
Kade delivered one of the most impressive bracket runs of the weekend. Competing as the #3 wrestler at 90 lbs, he moved up and defeated the #1, #11, and #13 ranked wrestlers at 95 lbs to claim the title in Norfolk.

Harper Martin (Roxa Rated #5)
Elevate Wrestling Academy | 3rd Grade | 65 lbs
Harper held serve in a loaded 3rd–4th grade bracket at Beatrice. Entering as the #5 wrestler at 65 lbs, she navigated a field that included the #6, #12, and #14 ranked wrestlers.

Lorenzo Lewis (Roxa Rated #7)
Millard South Wrestling Club | 8th Grade | 175 lbs
Lorenzo capped the weekend with a strong championship run at BJSA. Coming in ranked #7 at 175 lbs, he defeated the #2 and #8 ranked wrestlers at 175 lbs, along with the #9 wrestler at 160 lbs.

Jack Blair (Roxa Rated #2)
Hawks Wrestling Club | 6th Grade | 90 lbs
Jack delivered a strong statement performance in David City. Ranked #2 at 90 lbs, he defeated a previously unrated wrestler expected to land high in the Roxa Ratings and also knocked off the #2 ranked wrestler at 100 lbs.

Dariya Hoegemeyer (Roxa Rated #2)
The Best Wrestler | 4th Grade | 73 lbs
Dariya put together an outstanding run at BJSA. Entering as the #2 wrestler at 73 lbs in the 3rd–4th grade division, she won a stacked bracket that included the #2 and #6 wrestlers at 82 lbs and the #8 wrestler at 73 lbs.
