Roxa Rated Wrestlers of the Week

It’s post season time.  Nerves are high.  Almost every parent in the stands feels that their child’s bracket is rank; and rightfully so.  These parents however, didn’t need to do much explaining.  All of our wrestlers of the week are district champions and came out of a stacked bracket.  Congratulations on all of these awesome performances!

Kendrick Nordhues (Roxa Rated #5)
Central Valley | 4th Grade | 70 lbs | District 3
Kendrick entered District 3 ranked #5 and won his bracket in O’Neill. The division included the #9, #14, #16, and #20 ranked wrestlers at 70 lbs.

Jax Ford (Previously Unranked)
Hartington | League of Heroes | 4th Grade | 140 lbs | District 3
We obviously did a poor job of identifying this guy!  What a tournament he had!  Jax entered the district tournament unranked and won his bracket in a field that included the #2, #3, #9, #12, and #13 ranked wrestlers at 140 lbs.

Nathan Hemmingsen (Roxa Rated #3)
Albion | Boone Central | 8th Grade | 102 lbs | District 3
Nathan came in ranked #3 and captured the district title in a bracket that held a total of 6 Roxa Rated wrestlers. Those included the #6, #8, #10, #14, and #18 ranked wrestlers.

Olivia Jessen (Roxa Rated #6)
Pierce | Battle Creek Brave Elite | 8th Grade | 89 lbs | District 3
Olivia entered the tournament ranked #6 at 89 lbs and won the district title in a bracket that included the #4, #7, #9, and #10 ranked wrestlers in her division.

Zoey Delano (Roxa Rated #3)
Columbus | CWO | 8th Grade | 150 lbs | District 3
Zoey started the day ranked #3 at 150 lbs and won a district title in a bracket that included the #1 wrestler at 150 lbs along with the #15, #19, and #20 ranked wrestlers at 138 lbs.

Ann Gerhardus (Roxa Rated #4)
Grand Island | Northwest Jr Vikings | 6th Grade | 101 lbs | District 4
Ann entered the tournament ranked #4 and won her district bracket in a field that included the #8, #12, and #15 ranked wrestlers.

Louis Wickham (Roxa Rated #8)
Hickman | Hawks Wrestling Club | 3rd Grade | 70 lbs | District 6
Louis entered District 6 ranked #8 and won his bracket in a division that included the #7, #9, #10, and #13 ranked wrestlers.

Cooper Mason (Roxa Rated #13)
Roca | Hawks Wrestling Club | 6th Grade | 75 lbs | District 6
Maybe no one had more of a statement day than Cooper Mason.  Cooper came into the district tournament ranked #13 and won his bracket in a field that included the #3, #4, and #5 ranked wrestlers.

Jr Swoboda (Previously Unranked)
Louisville | Louisville | 6th Grade | 95 lbs | District 6
A great day for Mr. Swoboda on the mats!  Jr entered districts unranked and won a bracket that included the #6, #9, and #10 ranked wrestlers.

Kashton Brown (Roxa Rated #8)
Beatrice | Beatrice Wrestling Club | 8th Grade | 110 lbs | District 6
Kashton came in ranked #8 and won his district bracket in a field that included the #12, #13, #14, #15, and #18 ranked wrestlers.

Harper Keairnes (Roxa Rated #7)
Schuyler | Warriors Wrestling Academy | 7th Grade | 120 lbs | District 5
Harper entered districts ranked #7 and won a bracket that included the #6, #13, and #14 wrestlers at 126 lbs along with the #11 wrestler at 120 lbs.

Shepard Grimes (Roxa Rated #3)
Omaha | Nebraska Wrestling Academy | 2nd Grade | 53 lbs | District 8
Another 6 ranked wrestler district bracket.  Shepard entered as the #3 wrestler at 53 lbs and won a bracket that included the #1, #4, #12, #15, and #16 ranked wrestlers.

Corbyn Zitek (Roxa Rated #1)
Weston | Nebraska Boyz | 4th Grade | 60 lbs | District 8
Corbyn entered districts ranked #1 and won a bracket that included the #4, #6, #8, and #20 ranked wrestlers.

Chandler Oreskovich (Roxa Rated #4)
Bennington | The Best Wrestler | 6th Grade | District 8
What a day from Chandler!  He entered the tournament ranked #4 and won a bracket that included the #1, #2, and #3 ranked wrestlers.
