Roxa Rated Wrestlers of the Week
Another weekend of incredible youth wrestling competition across the state this weekend. There were so many great performances from these kids; and so many deserving of recognition. Here is who stood out the most to us.
Tripp Koehler (Roxa Rated #6)
Plainview Jr Pirates | 4th Grade | 120 lbs
Tripp entered Randolph ranked #6 at 120 lbs and delivered a major statement performance. He defeated the #2 and #7 wrestlers at 140 lbs to win his bracket at Randolph.
Jase Koehn (Roxa Rated #4)
Clarkson Coyotes | 6th Grade | 105 lbs
Jase entered Stanton as the #4 wrestler at 105 lbs and left with a title. He secured victories over the #5 and #18 ranked wrestlers to claim his bracket championship.
Jaxon Thomalla (Roxa Rated #3)
Wahoo | 1st Grade | 53 lbs
Jaxon solidified his #3 ranking at 53 lbs with a strong run at the Agoge Tournament. He won a bracket that included the #6, #13, and #16 ranked wrestlers at 53 lbs, reinforcing his standing among the division’s top contenders.
Braelyn Zurek (Roxa Rated #15)
Impact | 4th Grade | 55 lbs
Entering Agoge ranked #15 at 55 lbs, Braelyn made a big move by winning a bracket that featured the #18 wrestler at 55 lbs along with the #2 and #5 wrestlers at 50 lbs. A strong performance that should shake up the rankings.
Zeek Buchan (Roxa Rated #1)
Nebraska Wrestling Academy | 4th Grade | 90 lbs
The #1 rated wrestler at 90 lbs proved why he holds the top spot. Zeek won a loaded bracket that included the #4 wrestler at 90 lbs, the #8 at 95 lbs, and the #3 at 100 lbs.
Ian Nelson (Roxa Rated #14)
Wahoo | 7th Grade | 125 lbs
Ian entered as the #14 wrestler at 125 lbs and left with a title. He defeated the #7 wrestler at 125 lbs along with the #2 and #7 wrestlers at 117 lbs, a strong upward move against high-level competition.
Emersyn Rogert (Roxa Rated #5)
Rocket Wrestling | 3rd Grade | 58 lbs
Emersyn captured a loaded bracket at Agoge that included the #2, #7, #11, and #13 ranked wrestlers at 58 lbs. A dominant performance in one of the toughest brackets of the weekend.
Sophia Guiffre (Roxa Rated #2)
Beatrice | 4th Grade | 89 lbs
Sophia took top honors in a competitive bracket that featured the #5 wrestler at 95 lbs along with the #5 and #8 wrestlers at 89 lbs, proving why she currently holds the #2 spot.
Bennett Gossman (Roxa Rated #2)
Pioneer | 4th Grade | 95 lbs
Entering as the #2 wrestler at 95 lbs, Bennett won a bracket that included the #1 and #18 wrestlers at 95 lbs and the #15 wrestler at 100 lbs — a high-quality title run.
Klayton Bates (Roxa Rated #2)
CWO | 4th Grade | 105 lbs
As the #2 wrestler at 105 lbs, Klayton rose to the challenge by winning a bracket that featured the #1 wrestler at 105 lbs, the #4 at 112 lbs, and the #1 at 115 lbs in the 1st–2nd grade division.
Landon Mathews (Roxa Rated #2)
Nebraska Boyz | 8th Grade | 140 lbs
Landon secured his bracket title in Fremont by defeating the #3 and #5 wrestlers at 140 lbs along with the #15 wrestler at 150 lbs. He won all of these matches in dominant fashion as well.
Madison Fleenor (Roxa Rated #10)
BJSA | 5th Grade | 138 lbs
Entering ranked #10 at 138 lbs in the 5th–6th grade division, Madison captured top honors in a bracket that included the #2 wrestler at 138 lbs and the #2 and #5 wrestlers at 126 lbs.
Aliyah Lopez (Roxa Rated #4)
Warrior Wrestling Academy | 8th Grade | 95 lbs
Aliyah won a strong bracket in Fremont that featured the #4 and #5 wrestlers at 89 lbs and the #3 wrestler at 95 lbs in the 5th–6th grade division.
Reygan Gompert (Roxa Rated #10)
Mitchell | 4th Grade | 82 lbs
Reygan entered the Chuck Deter Tournament in Gering ranked #10 at 82 lbs and won a bracket that included the #6 and #15 wrestlers at 82 lbs, earning a well-deserved title.
