It’s time for our first rankings release of 2026!  We appreciate your patience throughout the process.  We have been grinding on this for over 2 months are are in a place where we feel comfortable enough to begin release.  The main things was getting kids into the appropriate weight division.  It is hard enough to figure out where your own child is going to land.  Releasing these any sooner is a lost cause.  There were athletes who jumped as much as 5 weight divisions; and some that remained the same.  A few things to keep in mind…

• Flo Wrestling… you thought one profile was hard to manage.  Try over 2,000 of them!  What a disaster.  It is what it is.  A few things that will help us out
  • Check your profile!  Many profiles are combined with other kids throughout the world who have a similar name.  Also, many profiles are currently listed under a parent’s name.  Getting those right will help us to find your child in a more accurate fashion.
• Many kids have yet to hit the mat.  We will incorporate them when needed as they do.
• These rankings will change wildly over the course of the next 4 months.  We have missed kids.  We don’t know about kids yet.  We have some kids in the wrong divisions.  We may have some kids in the wrong grade.  Kids improve.  Kids regress.  It’s the nature of the beast.  
• We are waiting one more week to release the girls.  Not as many girls have hit the mat yet so we are giving ourselves one more weekend to get them in the appropriate divisions.
• This week we will release the boys in this order:
• Tuesday – 7th-8th
• Wednesday – 5th-6th
• Thursday – 3rd-4th
• Friday – 1st-2nd
• Tournament coverage begins on Saturday, January 10th.  We will work to cover every tournament happening throughout the state of Nebraska.  We can’t promise that will happen, but we can promise to do our best.  

Our hope as always is to shine a spotlight on the sport.  To honor those who have put in the work.  To create a buzz around the sport of youth wrestling.  To motivate kids to continue to put in the work.  And to hopefully provide some valuable information to you and your child that will help you along your journey.  Best of luck to everyone this year!  We are excited to see all the kids performing!
